Part Time Help Needed!Accepting applications for part time employment. If you know anyone that is looking for part time work and loves Scouting, (great for that retired Scouter in your life) what better place to work than the Scout Shop. Round Up season is soon upon us and we are looking for a few new people to join our family. Seamstress Needed!!! Are you a seamstress and would like to be a contracted employee of the Scout Shop? We are in need of another seamstress to help handle the heavy load during round up season. Sewing service will be suspended from July 17 - August 6 as our seamstress enjoys Jamboree with her family. Sewing will resume on August 7, 2010. SalesThe State of Florida has announced a Sales tax holiday for August 13-15, 2010 only!! Your Scout Shop will be a part of this event, offering tax free clothing or books $50 or less or certain school supplies for $10 or less. For more information contact your local store. Gulf Ridge Council’s National Council Shoulder Patch (CSP) has been retired, discounted and is in limited supply. A new CSP is in the works for Round Up Season. Add one to your collection today and stop by the Council office and pick up a 100th edition CSP. All classic uniform parts are on sale starting at $4.98 and up, very limited selection of sizes left. Tampa Bay Scout Shop Info CornerAll checks must be made out to the Tampa Bay Scout Shop. As of June 14, 2010 we will no longer be able to take checks made out any other way. All checks must include the following:
AdvancementsPlease make sure that all your leaders, youth and parents are aware of the BSA restrictions on awards. All ranks, merits badges and Webelos activity pins must be on an advancement sheet for first time awards and that we must have proof for replacements. 2010 ranks are restricted by National and proof must be presented to purchase these items. All advancements require one(1) signature, except Boy Scout ranks which requires three(3) signatures done at the Board of Review. Eagle ranks, knots, award kits and medals are restricted items and you must present your Eagle card, certificate or have Council’s signed approval to purchase. Eagle Palms must be approved by Council prior to purchase, pick up your Eagle Palm form from the Council to be signed at your Board of Review. Custom ItemsDo you need a Unit t-shirt, cap, mug, bottle, patrol or specialty patch? Contact your local Scout Shop for quotes on any items that the heart can desire.

Sewing AvailableDrop offs and pick ups of clean sewing by 6 pm on Mondays and Thursdays. We will call you when the sewing is returned. Prices - non pocket patches or removal of patches $2 each, pocket patches $3 each, and hemming $10 per pant.
