Cub Scout Camping

Cub Scouts have many different opportunities for outdoor adventure. Everything from the thrill of experiencing the natural beauty, to earning patches and advancement, to taking part in the special activities planned by your district. Day CampA three to five day adventure introducing your Cub Scout to outdoor activities, games and lots of adventure. Camps are held locally during the month of June. Splash-O-ReeCamping weekends offered several times during the year for registered Cub Scouts and a parent or guardian. Family members are welcome to attend. Spook-O-ReeA fun-filled family camping program to celebrate the fall with activities for all. Events include a pumpkin carving contest for Bears and Webelos with their whittling chip, and a pumpkin painting and decorating for Tiger Cubs, Wolfs and siblings, and a costume contest. Leave No Trace for Cub ScoutsWe should practice Leave No Trace in our attitude and actions - wherever we go. Understanding nature strengthens our respect toward the environment. Follow the six Leave No Trace Guidelines for Cub Scouts. BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation)There is a requirement for a BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation) trained person to be present during every Cub Scout camping function.
