Tiger Cub Immediate Recognition Emblem

To begin his path to the Tiger Cub rank a boy must do three things:

Learn the Cub Scout motto: "Do Your Best"
Learn the Cub Scout sign
Learn the Cub Scout salute

Bobcat Badge

Bobcat Badge teaches you the basis of the Cub Scout program and must be earned before a Tiger Cub can earn his Tiger Cub Badge. On the Trail to Bobcat, a Tiger Cub will:

Learn and say the Cub Scout Promise and complete the Honesty Character Connection
Say the Law of the Pack and tell what it means
Tell what Webelos means
Show the Cub Scout sign and tell what it means
Show the Cub Scout handshake and tell what it means
Say the Cub Scout motto
Give the Cub Scout salute and tell what it means
With your adult partner, complete "A Bobcat Requirement" in front of the Contents pages of this handbook

Achievements and Beads

There are five achievements in Tiger Cubs:

Making My Family Special
Where I Live
Keeping Myself Healthy and Safe
How I Tell It
Let's Go Outdoors

Each achievement has three parts: a family activity, a den activity and a Go See It outing.

Tiger Cub Badge

The Tiger Cub badge is awarded when boys have completed all 15 parts of the five achievements. He receives his Tiger Cub badge in an impressive ceremony. After earning the Tiger Cub Badge, the boy is encourage to work on the numerous elective activities in his book.

Moving to Cub Scouts

At the end of the school year, your Tiger Cub will graduate to the Wolf Cub Scout program and be able to attend Cub Scout Resident Camp for the first time.
